Who We Are
Fredrik is the founder of FS Maritime Solutions AB and has 30 years of experience in the maritime industry.
In 2007, he joined Marinvest Shipping AB in Gothenburg as the Technical Director of Ship Management. He initiated the methanol dual-fuel concept in 2012 and supervised the creation/building of the world’s first dual-fuel MR tankers in collaboration with MAN-ES and DNV.
In total, Fredrik has overseen the design and construction of 16 methanol dual-fuel MR tankers and is at the forefront of methanol dual-fuel technology with more than six years of experience overseeing methanol operations. He is well-known in the industry and is a regular speaker at conferences for ship owners and professionals across the globe.
Fredrik is also the co-founder and CEO of Green Marine Engineering in Denmark, providing consultancy to major shipping companies and shipyards.
Prior experience includes the development of a ship management company specializing in seismic research vessels and sailing experience in different positions, from 3rd Engineer to Chief Engineer, with a range of ships, including OBO carriers, VLCC, RORO, high-speed ferries, and cruise ships.
Fredrik holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Marine Engineering.

Methanol Technology
Methanol (CH30H) is a low-emission, clean-burning fuel that is water soluble and produces less smog-causing emissions, such as sulphur oxides, nitrogen oxides and particulate matter.
